The Time We Fit Inside a Refrigerator Box

In honor of my mom's 60th birthday, all my brothers (and two sisters-in-law) flew into town to surprise her.  Now...in my family we can't do anything normal, like show up at her door and say "Surprise!".  That would be silly.  Instead, Brad hunted down a refrigerator box that everyone could fit inside...so we could present her with the biggest (literally) gift ever.

We set up on the back driveway, and I went in and led my mom outside.  She was so confused and didn't want to go out in the rain to open her gift...

Thankfully Brad had rigged it so they could push it over and - voila!  Out they came!

What a blessing it was for all of us to spend her 60th birthday weekend with her.  We love you, Mumsie!

Milk & Cookies

Although a bit late, our 3rd grade team wanted to throw a baby shower for the Myers family in honor of their new little boy, Grant.  We didn't quite pull it together before Grant was born in December.  The good news is - someone else must have procrastinated at one point in history, because now there's a party that exists called a "Sip & See".  It's a fun idea, actually - come eat, celebrate, and see the baby!

Anyway, we put together a "Milk & Cookies" party, inspired by a random blog post and Pinterest.  We had a blast decorating, and our teammates generously supplied the different kinds of cookies for everyone to enjoy.

And of course, the guest of honor - sweet baby Grant!
